On October 31, 2011, Options for Life (OFL) Director of Business Development, Jaryd Kase, began ‘training the trainers’ — including the Senegalese local Mini-plant management team — in preparation for OFL’s joint economic empowerment program with ChildFund Senegal.
Commencing in mid-December, Options Senegal trainers will work with ChildFund trainers in preparing hundreds of local under-employed women and young adults for sustainable income generating opportunities offered by Options for Life, LLC.
Since October 31, Jaryd has been meeting almost daily with several local Senegalese people recruited to train the trainers based on a curriculum designed by Options for Life. Options part of the training is designed to enable willing workers to bottle, sell and support the sales of non-toxic cleaning products to retailers, commercial accounts and directly to end-users throughout the country. ChildFund will coach candidates on basic business organization and product marketing.
