Walter Coddington

FR/EN. Walter Coddington est l’un des pionniers du Mouvement de Marketing Ecologique, auteur du premier livre professionnel sur le thème «Environmental Marketing” publié en 1993 par McGraw-Hill. Il a gagné un Emmy pour son travail sur l’éducation à l’environnement et  des émissions spéciales  de divertissement à la télévision – diffusées  sur Disney Channel, mettant en vedette Kenny Loggins et autres, et parrainé par de Arm & Hammer et la National Audubon Society.

Dans la toute première enquête du gouvernement  sur  le “blanchiment vert”, Coddington a été invité par la United States Federal Trade Commission (Commission Fédérale du Commerce) pour témoigner en tant que témoin expert sur la base ses expériences avec Corporate America. (Corporation des Grandes Entreprises Américaines)

Dans le processus de construction d’alliances de marketing écologique entre les entreprises et les organisations  écologiques, Coddington est devenu un consultant régulier pour le Programme des Nations Unies pour l’Environnement et le Fonds des Nations Unies pour la Population – le dernier l’exposant ainsi aux défis du développement à la fois humain et écologique dans les pays du tiers monde.

Coddington est le fondateur et Membre du Comité de Gestion de Options for Life, LLC, une entreprise à but lucratif de fabrication de produits de nettoyage non-toxiques, créée pour développer la génération de revenus et les possibilités de  créer de petites entreprises pour les femmes et jeunes adultes à faible revenu dans les pays en voie de développement.

Walter Coddington is one of the early pioneers of the environmental marketing movement, authoring the first professional book on the topic “Environmental Marketing” published in 1993 by McGraw-Hill. He won an Emmy for his work on the environmental education and entertainment TV special – aired on the Disney Channel, starring Kenny Loggins and others, and sponsored by Arm & Hammer and the National Audubon Society.

In the very first government investigation into ‘green-washing,’ Coddington was invited by the United States Federal Trade Commission to testify as an expert witness based on his experiences with corporate America.

In the process of building environmental marketing alliances between companies and environmental organizations, Coddington became a regular consultant to the United Nations Environment Program and the United Nations Population Fund – the later exposing him to both the human and environmental development challenges in third world countries.

Coddington is the founder and Managing Member of Options for Life, LLC, a for-profit, non-toxic cleaning products manufacturing company created to develop income generation and small-business ownership opportunities for low income women and young adults in developing countries.
